It may be bias on my own behalf but Gerrard's header against Besiktas a couple of years back for me is one of best you'll see. With no pace on the ball the way he flung his whole body at the ball to power and direct it into the top corner was sublime. Shame it will be for most parts be forgotten as it was a goal worthy to win any game.

Another that springs to mind is Didi Hamann's belter of a free kick against Fulham when we lost 3-2 at the cottage. Twas an absolute cracker in a game that will be remembered for Sava's stupid mask. Didi has CL winner's medal on his mantlepiece. I wonder if Sava has that phanton mask on his??? ;)

    Anymore you can think of???

was a great goal but maybe cech should have saved it. good one though. am thinking Gerrard against Arsenal in the 6-3 Carling Cup at Anfield. a worthy mention. fancy his name popping up again :D

Robbie keanes goal against arsenal, a typical keane strike when hes playing his best football, pity he didnt play too much of it last year

Crouch's sissor kick against Galatarary (I think), he couldn't have hit the ball any better and that's saying something trying to control those limbs

also, i've said it numerous times on here > why the hell doesn't Gerrard get into the mix alot more for corners !??? he has a fantastic header, whenever he gets ina position to score from a header HE DOES ! & besides, he takes very poor corners on the whole....
The Champs Lge final headed goal was sublime ......

I think Didi's goal was scored at Loftus Road when Fulham played there for a season or so. Cracker it was too.

Ian Rush scored a brilliant goal against Arsenal in the '87 Littlewoods Cup Final that he never got credit for because of what champagne Charlie did. It was a simple enough finish but the passing and movement between Rush, Molby and McMahon was so simple yet brilliant.

good one mate. was a great goal. carving Arsenal open with a great finish from Rushie. Steve McMahon's rocket against Palace in 1990 would be up there to I guess. Still dont think any would beat Gerrard's - for me that is

Ronnie Whelan scored a great equaliser against the Scum at Goodison Park in the '85 FA Cup Semi Final. It curled right into the top corner with 3 minutes to go, one I think has been easily forgotten as United won through in the replay.

Yeap, Barnes was similar. What I liked about Whelan's was the build up on the edge of the box between Neal and Lee and that the goal denied (at the time!) the Scum their place in the final. Just a pity they eventually got there in a replay.

A contender for me has to be Ian Rush's equaliser against the Scum in March 1993. It was a volley from the edge of the box at the Anfield Road. United eventually won 2-1.

All great goals mate but we won all 4 games. I was thinking more the lines of fantastic goals where we didnt get the result and therefore are a distant memory.
