Ngoo joins Liverpool SOUTHEND United youngster Michael Ngoo has completed a move to Liverpool. Ngoo, 16, has signed scholarship terms with the Reds following a successful trial with the Anfield club. And Southend could stand to make more than £250,000 if the 6' 4" tall striker goes on to play for the first team. "Michael has joined Liverpool," confirmed Blues' youth team manager Ricky Duncan. "It's a good deal for the football club and a great opportunity for Michael to be at one of the biggest clubs in the world. "The deal could be worth more than a quarter of a million pounds if he goes on to realise his potential but the initial fee is a lot smaller than that.†Ngoo had recently been on trial with Manchester United who he helped win the Milk Cup in Northern Ireland during the summer. But, after turning down Southend's offer of a contract, he opted for a move to Merseyside. "Michael had accepted a scholarship with us at the end of last season but he didn't sign,†added Duncan. "He felt that he could get a Premier League side which was his choice and fortunately it has worked out for him. "Freddy Ladapo did the same thing but as far as we are aware he is still without a club so its not always the case that it is the right thing to do "So given the circumstances it represents the best for all concerned."
Bumping an old thread here. Michael Ngoo has had an absolutely fantastic start to this season playing in both the reserves and U21's. I am still not convinced that he will make it at Liverpool. He has been very prolific in front of goal. I would imagine he is a nightmare for defenders. Really think a loan spell at a Championship club would do him good.
Probably one of the most awkward players i've ever seen but very very effective. He seems to cause defences all sorts of problems
I seen it Posted in other threads, But i thought i would throw it in here as Well. After he scored last night, he celebrated by showing this which was a wonderful jesture.
Hit the cross Bar yesterday twice, with two Belters of shots, and then scored a very good Goal. Seems to have hit the ground running with Hearts.
