Anyone a Receipt for XBox360 Console

Hi Lads,

I have the 3 red flashing lights on my Xbox again , I've rang up xbox support and they said I will have to pay €91 to get it fixed because my console is out of warranty because the date of manufacture is 2005, She said if I can give them a receipt of purchase that proves its still in warranty they will fix it for free.. Has anyone got a receipt from the last 2 years that they could give me a copy of, I would really appreciate it if you could help .. Thanks

 

I have a reciept somewhere but its for the xbox360 arcade?? otherwise I have a mate who can repair it for around €40

 

Did you try taking out the hard drive and puting it back in again

 

its 3 year warranty if you get the 3 red rings, got mine fixed there a couple of months ago

 

I have a receipt for an xbox 360 premium if you would like to use, bought mine a year ago,.

I sent on that email with the receipt.

 

Got mine fixed before exact same problem, paid the €120 at the time and was still under warranty so they refunded me my fee plus my fee again so happy days got my xbox fixed and they paid me €120.
But you will be without your console for a while I think mine was gone for 4 weeks!

 

Got the same ****in thing today. Its the E74 error and its directly linked to the 3 red lights although this is only 1 light.

 

Check the cable,. Its usually a cable fault or hard drive problem,. But i sent you the receipt anyway,. Hope it helps.

 

No i had that trouble before. The whole screen went all ****ed up first of all then i turned it off and on and it said E74 failure and i googled that and it is hardware failure and needs repair

this is the second time i got the red ring. Towels only a short term fix im afraid. Id be better off throwin it off a forty storey building

 

I got the red rings at christmas and because my xbox was out of warranty i just bought an arcade and put the hard drive in that. Would i get away with sending my premium with the arcade receipt to microsoft?

 

nah, thats pushing it plus Im sure you have noticed that the arcade has a white disc tray, every other xbox has a silver disc tray.

 

They will know by the serial number when it was purchased. Jamie your problem is over heating and will sort it's self out do not use the towel for just one light

 

Travis I still have that hard drive for you didn't get a chance to send it. My advice to you is to get a cheap arcade model and with the hard drive you will be back to normal
