    Hi Folks,

Anyone know anything about this site? A mate of mine is very interested in it but cannot access it. I believe its great and has any music you could want.

I know that there are access restrictions from Ireland and that you may need a proxy to access it but I believe that there are ways to access it from Ireland.

I know that there is already a thread on here for the Grooveshark music streaming site:
    http://www.irishkop.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9608&highlight=spotify

Any help on spotify.com would be great. thanks

The ad-supported version of Spotify is only available in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the United Kingdom, France and Spain and in some of those countries an invitation is required.

    Thats taken from wikipedia,
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spotify

The only way it can work for ireland is through a proxy, but they get blocked every so often, also to download the songs you need the client software from the site, which I dont think would work with the proxy.

Thats all the info I could rustle up.

You might be able to use the onion network to access this? Google Videlia bundle (Tor/Privoxy).

Btw I'm not necessarily recommending the use of the above applications or network.

Think its 10 or 15 euro a month.

Same as you John, 48 hr trial

If you go premium can you actually download to your device, or is it just unlimited access on the go?

Come across my own band on Spotify last week, got a good kick out of that!

Thinking about going for the premium option on this for the iPhone, seems well worth it!

It's free but the ads are incessant and it doesn't let you click back and you have a limited number of skips.

I was paying a tenner a month for a while but stopped cos don't get enough use to justify - €6 would be mighty though if it's down to that!

I have the premium one on my work PC. Listen to it all the time. Well worth the 10 euro if you planning on using it a lot.

I have not tried to download any music illegally or to bought from Itunes since I signed up!

I highly recommend it to anybody that loves music. Plenty of rare songs or editions on it. I'm a Doors fan and I discovered songs that I never knew via Spotify.

Have an app called iTube that is free, harder to find songs unless you are looking for them but I'm too much of a cheapskate to pay 9.99 a month :)
