Bit of help please if anyone can help. I just the bought the Champ Manager 01/02 UPDATE(the original brilliant game before it went too detailed.) with all the correct players / clubs updated from ebay. I got the disc, and the seller informs me that i need to unzip the files using Winrar and the game should work grand. Ive tried to do this(not sure if ive used Winrar properly), but it allows me to start the game, but after i save my progress, when i go back in to re-load it, the saved game data isnt there. This is extremely frustratin, the seller has tried to help me but to no avail. My mate works in IT can no doubt get it sorted for me, but hes away for 3 weeks, but god i need to play this awesome game again NOW. Any help much appreciated!!............
Did it come with a crack or patch? can you post some of the file extensions that were on the cd after you used winrar,. And did you just run an executable file or did you have to install the game?
im not sure what cracks or patchs are mate(not very good on the lingo or technical side of things), but i do know that the file i ran in Winrar said "CM01/02.exe (execution file)
thats a problem straight off,. .exe files are basically run everytime programs rather than run once,. with the original game, its not an .exe,. I'll download a .exe version and give it a whirl and see can I find where its saving the games,. if its saving them at all,. and if there is a way to install the game to make it run once.
I know its by far the best one. Its well on the way, so shouldnt take long, i lost my original disk a long time back,. so this will give me a chance to play it again,. theres about 30 percent done already, so i'll post back in abit with the results,. Also the new championship manager is available to purchase from the website for €2.51 its part of a promotion scheme, I thought you might be interested, theres a thread on here about it already in the games section,.
Ok, I just download a .exe version of the game and was packed into a very handy installer, which was great,. ran the game set one up, went a few days in, saved it, and bingo there it was, works a charm,. now this updated version? exactly what is it? is it basically current squads etc? and was that a separate file? anyway i'll post the link to the game I got,. and a link to the most up to date update I can find and all you have to do is double click the .exe, and then double click the patch, and the pc will do the rest, n after that you'll be flying,.
the disc that was sent to me opens through "untitled document Mozilla Firefox, and it provides a link to opening the game(it also states that I might have to unzip some files using Winrar or similar.

Which gives the new teams transfers loans etc. And still allows you to sign Zidane. I hope all this helps and hasn't confused anyone.. Also try do a search on your pc for a folder called ----- CM 01 - 02 on your C Drive, your save games go in that folder, so if thats not there then you cant save games on the with the Disc you were given,.
