Ok the silly Season is now over and thanks to our wonderful chairmen we have been unable to add extra Depth to our Squad so i got Thinking This afternoon is there any 1 out there who is on a free that might add depth and a little bit of quality to our Squad, and i taught of one man who still has no club and obviously thats Mr Viduka.

So Lads & Lassies 4 Questions for you.
    1) Is He Better Than Voronin?
    2) Would He add depth?
    3) and with ten minutes remaining would you Pick him ahead of Ngog or Voronin?
    4) Would you like to see him at liverpool.

a brave suggestion...i can see where your coming from but in my view....

1- probably not..voronin has pace on him
    2- barely
3- all 3 give me shudders but probably pick voronin
    4- no...that isnt progress.

signing an overweight 33 year old is not the way forward..id much rather give ngog a chance to develop...or even nemeth/pachecho..

but rafa seems to believe nemeth and pacheco arent good enough or ready yet agree with what your saying about him i never liked him since he moaned about celtic but on a free transfer would he be worth a punt

I would have liked him when he went to Newcastle. He is certainly 'an option' and does provide a different challenge to defenders. As slow as he is you know that he will hold up the ball and create danger in the box.

If he would come in for a sensible wage/pay asyou play deal I wouldn't be overtly opposed to such a signing.

Re. free transfers anyone heard anything furtehr on Rafael Sobis?

I can see where you're coming from aswell looking at free transfers but in my opinion all Viduka would add to our squad would be weight and wages!

I think we'd be better off sticking with what we have.

He's a lazy fat *******...His attitude would need to change and he would need to sharpen up..And i wouldnt want any cast offs from newcastle.Proved he is not up for a fight when he left newcastle.

Also it wouldnt send out a good message to N'gog or any other youngester if we got out and get some overated guy who's wages would be silly.

fair point for posting it though as i can see where your coming from. But a big NO from me on this one.

You're right, mixed up 8 with 9! Nothing about him as a free agent on it though

No I dont think Viduka would add much at this stage but interesting. Did the Baptista story die?

    1) Is He Better Than Voronin? No. He's about to turn 34, finished as a premier league player in my opinion. At least voronin is able to move. I think Vidukas lack of mobility could end up causing problems for the other players up front
    2) Would He add depth? Not particularly because if torres was injured, Kuyt and Voronin would both be picked ahead of him
    3) and with ten minutes remaining would you Pick him ahead of Ngog or Voronin? No. None of them are great options but at least Ngog has shown glimpses that he knows where to be to find a goal late in a game
    4) Would you like to see him at liverpool No. He's unfit, injury prone and doesn't have the heart required to play for us and I doubt he'd have the mentality that Rafa would be looking for either

I see what you're thinking though. We do need the kind of player thats good in the air and can hold up the ball to bring others into it. A plan b if things aren't working out

We apparently were looking at him last Spring. I hate using such a cliche but, again, he would represent a great option for the Premier League

I watched a few of newcastle's last few games from last season & the commentators kept saying that viduka was retiring at the end of the season. Is he retired or what?
