Just reading about Aurelio being back in training and should be back for the Burnley game.

I just had a thought, Rafa used to play Fabio Aurelio in a holding centre mid position at Vallencia at times ... I wonder if he might consider keeping Insua at left full and bring Fabio into a more central role along side Masca?

One I would imagine, when Aquilani is fit he is pushing Lucas out of the team in anycase?

    Just a thought.

Played there V Bolton last season, done well, his flexibility is a thing Rafa likes about him I presume.

We could do with him back soon for set pieces, Stevie doesn't send corners in good enough.

Would like to see him play just ahead of Insua. Think they could prove awesome down the left, and swapping positions. But that means no place for Riera. I also like Riera, he hasnt set us alight but still hasnt done much wrong. Either way, when Aurelio is match fit, im sure he'll be in the starting 11. Hes our best technical player

I agree, but I think i would prefer to see Riera dropped before Insua,I think Insua is gaining alot from this oppurtunity in the starting 11

True, i have always backed him before i joined this site.
Watched him a lot on the spanish football on sunday eve's before my drinking days kicked in and was over the moon when we got him.
Pitty about his injuries but still worth hanging onto.

In fairness if we get Fabio, Agger, Skertle and Aquaman fit it won't be long before our season is back on track.

This guy is a mystery, he is often injured for 2 or 3 weeks before its even reported that he is injured and he seems to reappear in the same circumstances.

As soon as he is back I'd stick him straight in ahead of Insua. Aurelio and Riera work well together and Insua will get his chance and has age (and Aurelio's fitness) on his side.
