Fowler's God

Liverpool are also understood to be contemplating a £4 million bid for Celtic's unsettled playmaker Shunsuke Nakamura as they attempt to win their first title since 1990.
Benitez has been impressed by the Japanese star's performances for the Scottish champions but he'll face competition from Atletico Madrid, Monaco and Aston Villa for Nakamura, who turned 29 earlier this month.
Benitez is desperate to add goals from his midfield, where only captain Steven Gerrard broke into double figures last season.
The England midfielder's tally of 11 was matched by Nakamura but it is the latter's threat from set-pieces, both as provider and goalscorer, which has intrigued the manager

i think he would be a great addition to Lpool's squad.
£4m would be an absolute steal in my opinion

I'm with Avid on this- 4 million is a steal- 1 mill clause would pint towards Christmas present/bonus all in 1. I't take him over Youssi for sure. He as performed extemely well in big CL games for the hoops also.

His free-kick against Man U at OT was a peach

Definately would be a good signing. I wouldn't say there is much substance to the story unfortunately, although can see him leaving Celtic

Not sure about his all round contribution, but he takes a cracking free kick...
Wouldnt it be great to have someone like Barnesie back in the day. When he stepped up to take a free kick on the edge of the box, it was almost expected that he'd score.
According to the news, Celtic aren't willing to sell.

They will not have a choice if he has a get out clause,I would be amazed if it was as low as 1 million but to be honest nothing surprises me with Celtic they come across as desperate to sing players and would probable agree to anything.
i wouldnt pay 4 mil for him but it would be a decent signing for 1mil if that is his get out clause

We are seriously lacking from set pieces and are in fact shocking from direct free kicks but I would question his overall contribution and quality. At 29 I'd pass remembering there's only so much room in the squad even thought we'd probably get away with paying him peanuts but we only want top quality at that age unless they're young with potential and shit cheap.
Is Torres any good at free kicks ? If I have to watch see Riise slam the ball against a wall or fire into the heavens for another season why I oughta.......
Gonzalez scored a class one last season, cheeky it was. Aurelio is meant to be handy though and he showed great signs of stepping up generally (deffo best crosser of the ball) before his badly timed injury. Maybe Levia has the Brazilian touch ? I think generally in football its becoming a bit of a lost art that peaked in the 80s. Kewell should be well able to score from them too.

Nakamura would be a reasonable squad player, but would he be good enough for the team on a weekly basis. I doubt it

Or if 1 million buy out clause then we should do a whip round and buy him ourselve. The Irish Kop consortium.
