All this just annoys me ... --------- Rafa Benitez could quit the club before the end of the month as a result of more broken promises by the club's American owners. Tired of taking on the club's owners over previous broken promises, it has been suggested to us that the manager could quit on or around August 26th which would mean his last game could be the televised clash against Aston Villa at Anfield on Monday 24th. A resignation on the 26th would mean the news would be on the back pages of every newspaper in Europe on the morning of 27th and read by hundreds of journalists, football managers and executives who will be on flights to Monaco for the Champions League draw. Benitez finds himself in an untenable position having allegedly been prevented from pushing through a deal for David Silva and other major European targets as a result of the club's owners not handing over promised funds. Even a deal for Athletic Bilbao defender Fernando Amorebieta is said to have been blocked by the owners. It has been suggested that Benitez would prefer to walk now - opposed to later in the season - to give someone else a chance to do as much as they can, out of respect for the club and fans and also to preserve his reputation. Journalists are already circling above him predicting a finish outside the top four and he's fully aware of this. Numerous reports across Europe today state that Benitez is unhappy with the figures told he has left to spend this summer.
More absolute rubbish reporting that was sure to rear its head again after the loss at the weekend but it must break Rafa's heart to see us get so close last season and for the owners to give him absolutely nothing to finish off the job. After being linked with Madrid job a few times and and seeing the budget that he would have had their it must be awful for him to have to sit tight throughout the transfer window knowing that he will be getting not a penny out of our fantastic owners.
Will believe it when i see it, these rumours have been around before, If he did walk Who could honestly blame him if he did with the way the two fcukwits have behaved!
Over the past few days Ive seen sh*te like this posted on a few liverpool forums, by posting this we are adding fuel to the fire for any jurnos out there looking for a story to print.
Find it hard to belive it will happen, not after all he has said in the past hel ikes it there and his family is settled. I hope he dosent go just yet, would prefer a big push to remove the Yanks. Fingers X.
We came so close last year, there are a lot of people in the media who would hate to see us win the title (ex-players who played when we dominated everything, and mainly London-based pundits who support London teams like Chelsea and the Scum(!)). All this is designed to unsettle the club and it seems to be working.
if he leaves Im going to prison for shooting those two yanks... I hope you will all send me mail and they still give me access to IrishKop.com, because I will not be held responsible for my actions if Rafa goes and this is true...
were is the source? i read somethin similar on .tv forum last night some chap had taken it from kraptalk
lets hope it doesn't happen he has spent 2 long building his team, if he leaves now we ar right back were we were wen he first came...
Would not blame him for the way the yanks have treated him, but I dont think he will. As stated earlier he has a job to finish here.
I don't think a single Liverpool fan would hold him responsible! He's a very proud man and too ambitious to sit in a club that don't seem to be giving him the support needed to win the league.
