can people please give me some information about whats the best one to go with, sky's package is basic channels, news, sports, espn and sky plus, one free month plus 50euro to me and my mate for 65 euro a month, and ntl are offering the same, ive never had sky but it looks better, what kind of deals do you have, cheers
i have sky and can,t fault it. a friend of mine works with ntl and spends much of his time out on call, make of that what you will.
Well you may be able to get broadband with ur NTL and that could save you if you some money. ie you dont need an additional phone line. I had NTL until i moved house that didnt have ntl available so i am going to have to get sky + eircom/BT broadband with a phone line that I dont really need
Sky is so much better, had Ntl in college and it was always on the fritz. As regards to the phone line I dont think you need that anymore,. We have Sky+ and dont have a phone line in the house at all let alone an additional.
SKY all the way mate no comparison for clarity, I had NTL for a while and picture always froze you couldnt get thro to service, Sky a different story much better, i cancelled sports for summer and got reconnect Sunday in 5 minutes. My mate has HD its unreal mega if you have the TV etc
I'd say Sky and NTL are blitzed with calls today for sky sports. I would get Sky only can't put a dish up in our apartment.

have you not seen that deal where if you get 3 people in your block to agree to get sky they will put a dish up on the roof for free?
well a 'friend' who got ntl put in was offered all channels for e35 a month by the installer and is very happy with this!
cheers lads im going to join sky, found they gave me great value, **** nthell, i rang sky and was talking to someone in a matter of seconds, im now on hold now for 42 mins with nthell and waiting to talk to someone so i can cancell, unreal, but wait a second i just got talking to someone and guess what, they put me on hold, aaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.6 min just passed and was talking to someone, i told them to knock me off asap, but ive to write a letter and wait 30 days, unreal,over all it took me 53mins to cancel nthell, shower of wankers, they must be getting commission from eircom
I may have to cave in and get it, after what happened last night, Im sure you know what I mean, I will say no more. Only thing is I have NTL for tv,broadband and phone
Sky all the way Kev, it may be a little bit pricey but it's worth it for the amount of channels and coverage you get. I've never had any problems with the box or sat and most of all.................sky + is the way forward
