Looking at our Squad today how many can honestly say we will win the league.I dont think we have a hope in hell and hopefully people will post in this thread and predict where we come . It will be good to see the true predictions and we can see in May whats true.(its not a knee jerk etc its hand on heart)

Honestly I think we can win the league, our team is no worse than it was last year with the exception of Alonso but we have Aquilani who hopefully can fill his boots

Injuries, every team gets 'em at some point in the season.

Our bench, or what we have on it any given matchday is no different to what could be afforded last season.

We finished 4 points off the title last year...
    Whats changed??

And yes, I think we can win the league.

Like alot of us thought prior to todays game.

With the amount of negative posts in existing threads, you could create a whole new forum!!!!

Some ridiculous, outlandish stuff here today...

compare the Chelsea and scum squad to what we have. Pal take off the red glasses at least you have to admit they are much stronger than us.

one game in and your giving up already....

There are still 37 games to go,

Do you think the blue shites will go down after getting thumped by arsenal???

it really is a knee jerk reaction, Spurs away was always going to be a tough game, i thought we would get a draw, but i sure as hell aint throwing in the towel until its impossible to win it.

God help us if Gerrard or Torres get injured and Carragher is startin' to make mistakes as well now.Agger has to play whenever he is fit.

    Ok, lets compare....

Liverpool lost Alonso and Arbeloa, and replaced them with Johnson and Aqualani..

Johnson is a better player than Arbeloa, and Aqualani could be a better player than Alonso.

The scum have lost Ronaldo & Tevez, and are struggling, like us, with injuries.
The ladyboy scored something like 70 league goals in the last 2 years, and Tevez will be missed, he won some vital games for them last year at the backend of the season.

The chavs have brought in Zhirkov, who I think is a good player, but apart from that, no-one else, and them being an already agieng side, they wont get better than they were last year.

Arsenal have a young squad, City have a new squad, neither will challenge us I believe.

Utd have a big squad, but lack quality ala Gerrard, Torres, Mash...
Rooney on his day can be good, Berbaflop is a waste of money.
I wouldn't swap any of our midfield with any of theirs... would you???
They replaced the 2 big names with Owen and Valencia...
    Like for like, they wish.....
They will not provide the goals that the aforementioned 2 scored over the last 2 years

We may not have the strongest squad, but the others dont have as much a strong squad as you would have us believe.

1 game in, and anyone writing off our chances is just silly, like writing off the chavs and the scums chances.

Plenty of signs there yesterday to suggest that both of them will struggle...
They both only just won their opening games, at home, to likely relegation fodder.

Spurs at WHL are a match for anyone which was shown last year...
Beat us and the chavs, drew with the gooners and the scum.

Knee-jerk is putting it lightly imo...
1 game in and we lost, but we move on to Stoke at home.
Its nowhere near the end of the world, and more importantly, nowhere near the end of our title challenge.

Now taking all that into consideration I dont think the chavs or the scum have strengthened their squads on from last season...

And what were the results between us and both of them last year???

4 outta 4 to the reds.

I dont think anyone is wearing red tinted glasses as you put it, I think they may have given this thread more thought than the original author.

If any team lost 2 of their best players to injury/suspension, they'd struggle...
This comment of yours applies to every team, not just ours....
