Ok guys i have just seen one of the best war movies in recent memory. The Hurt Locker follows a US Army bomb disposal unit in Iraq & has some of the most tension filled scenes you will ever see. I highly recommend this film to anyone who is fed up with all the crap blockbuster movies & rom-coms released this year.
Where did you find it available for download? Was it through torrents? EDIT: I found a link after i googled it. Looks good from the trailers cant wait to watch it after work tonight.
good choice just finished watching that film. good choice. the brits got the same reception in the 6 counties and now the afgans are given them a similar welcome.
Cheers serpheus watched it the other night, its a great film. Kind of reminds me of JarHead in the way that in JarHead the whole film you are waiting for him to shoot someone and the twists and turns keep you enthralled, the same with this i was waiting for Sgt. James to get blown up at every opportunity. Great film.
weird this, because it was released in 2008 but is only hitting the cinema's now after renewed interest If you like this and these kind of genre's then check out a mini series called generation kill, it was made by HBO last year, one of the best mini war series i have ever seen
You're right about generation kill man. Top class, wouldnt expect anything less from the creators of The Wire.
Saw this advertisied and it wrecked my head because i had seen it before, only seen there that it was previously released so i'm not losing my mind Really good film
They were speaking about this on Newstalk this evening on the George Hook show (althoguh some Yank was covering for him) ... the lads thought it was an excellent film... Must get a look at it some time soon
I'm going to be contraversial here and say I thought Hurt Locker was a let down... Maybe it was hyped up too much, I don't know, but I don't get the best war movie ever comments... I'm a huge fan of war movies but I just didn't get what the big deal was!
Blasphemy!! You sons of... Nah, sure yer all entitled to your opinion and you'll seldom find a movie that everyone categorically loves. But two quick questions: Who actually said it was "the best war movie ever"? and what was wrong with Tigerland? I thought that was pretty good too tbh.
