8.16 Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez admits he may have to speak to the club's owners in order to secure more transfer funds to improve his squad. Tell us something we dont know - Jesus - slow news day!
ya but then you have this from the Turner story Benitez, who has money available following the recent sale of Xabi Alonso, is yet to replace Sami Hyypia, who departed the club at the end of last season. Definite slow day, why don't they spend the day discussing fergie's rant about the ref yesterday and the way his players surrounded the ref AGAIN numerous times
If this is the case, then my real concern is their likely response ..... those two are only in LFC for profit, can't see them investing, think they wanted a quick flip and it's gone against them myself.
I think you're right. I also think they underestimated the running costs of a club like Liverpool e.g. wages, contract renewals and transfer budgets. They're more than likely happy with the standard of the team and that we're challenging for honours. Their priority now is to service the debts, find a buyer or failing that actually start developing the stadium in the hope of achieving a sale. Either way our transfer budget from now on will be pittance. Mascherano is probably our transfer budget for next summer
heard on the radio notts county and sven are after him and prepared to match his pompey wages 90,000 a week !!
Seriously, they can have him he wants that crazy money. For a play as you play deal he would be a decent enough signing.
Was just thinking, if the americans took Rafa's transfer money, why would he demand cash from the Alonso deal?
Talk about a slow news day, just got a text from a manc having a go telling me to look at the indo. http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league/johnsons-toilet-talk-1856112.html What a load of rubbish....
6million is more than enough, Skrtel cost 6.5mil and Agger cost 5.8mil. Dont see why Turner should cost 12mil, just because he's English.
