Hi guys, I see that RAFA has captured Aquilani, no hanging about with RAFA... Anyone know much about this guy? is he an ideal Alonso replacement or is he not fit to lace his boots? D
He's a good player, but seems injury prone, and he's currently crocked so he wont be replacing Alonso until October, another thing is Italians dont travel well, and thats why they dont tend to leave Italy much. So time will tell.

If he has the right attitude then he will do the business for us as he certainly has the talent. Sounds like rafas had this lined up all summer..
when i heard he was linked with us i checked him out on youtube( where else ). one thing about him, he can certainly hit them from a distance, some of his goals a gerrard-esque. i no youtube is nothing to go by, but he looks a decent player. never heard of him before TBH so could be wrong.
QUOTE]when i heard he was linked with us i checked him out on youtube[/QUOTE] ha- i did the same when Veronin joined... he looked excellent on youtube.... how wrong was I
Could be a disaster of a signing regarding fitness. On the other hand he is a dead ball speicialist and can score screamers from 40 yrds out. He`s also an excellent passer. He`d be rated close to Xabi if he hadn`t been injured for so long the last three seasons.
Few Italian lads in work think he;s the business. One in particular, an AC fan, is gutted they haven;t gotten him. Time will tell though. I sincerely hope he settles in quickly though as the unforgiving sections of our fanbase will no doubt slaughter/boo him at the first sign of a bad game
Roma fans think he could be a direct replacement for Totti, unfortunatly for them it looks like it won't be at their club...
Unfortunately Daz, we don't have time for players to settle this season. If we are going to stop them tramps getting 19, we need all players at the top of their game week in week out. Hopefully this guy stays injury free as he is highly rated, so he should be a good addition.
only time will tell i suppose. best of luck to him and lets hope we see more of him on the pitch then the stand
Waow waow waow we've got the best midfield in the world with alberto aquilani, steven gerrard, lucas and mascherano-o-o. Doesn't really have the same ring to it!!! We should have kept alonso and signed someone like joao moutinho just so we could have that song back at anfield
He's no Xabi, but if we can keep him relatively fit he seems to be a solid enough player who seems to know where the net is, & that can't be a bad thing!
Well he's nicknamed "Il Principino" which means the little prince so if the prince can live up to the kings reputation he'll do well
Dont know too much about him to be honest but hopefully he's the missing piece we need. Fingers crossed.
