I just realized that there is a full round of International games on a few days before the season starts. This is a crazy time to have a Int round of games its the first time I can remember having the games before the premiership starts, they normally have a Int round after 2/3 Premiership games. I hope we don't pick up any injury's.
Is there South American games too? There just isn't words to describe the stupidity of the tit who decides all this. It's beyond belief at this stage
Thought the international break after one week of the season was ridiculous but having one before the season even starts really does take the biscuit
Thats FIFA and UEFA for you.shower of muppets.they bang about players being treated like slaves and then they go and have an international round the week the season starts.

With some sensible news. ----------------------------------------------- Europe's major clubs and Uefa have agreed to drop the unpopular August date for friendlies from the international calendar, European Clubs Association chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said this morning. Rummenigge said an agreement had been reached with Uefa over the removal of the date, although Fifa have yet to sanction it. Bout time a bit of common sence kicked in was allways the worst time of yesr for meaning less friendlies..
It's certainly a good idea.Having an international fixture before the domestic seasons gets underway made absolutely no sense.
Bout time as well. These Games this week should be scapped too.Like having a international round of games, in between a week with premiership is craziness.
as much as i agree it was always a stupid time just before or a few days after the season starts why do we call them meaningless friendlies ? how is it any different to pre season games, don't international managers need a chance to experiment with different systems/ players as well
