Anyone help us my mate is looking for a new one his one has jacked in & is out of warranty. Anyone know were to get the cheapest one. He needs one with online I know some of the cheaper ones don't allow you online Cheers
Liamo as far as I'm aware with all xbox360s you can use online.. you just need to attach the wireless thing to it or attach a cable.. i've seen a few in buy and sell for €100
I read something on here yesterday Liam about Toymaster in clearwater having a closing down sale, 50% off everything? Might get one there.
I got mine in Gamestop. They're generally very cheap as they sell used and new ones. Also with games they are the biggest franchise selling here so they can afford to undercut the competition. I wouldn't buy games anywhere else (bar online the odd time)
Ok mate seeing as your anti buy&sell here's a link to 1 on ebay for €150 from a power seller. http://cgi.ebay.ie/Microsoft-Xbox-360-Game-Console-20GB-boxed-complete_W0QQitemZ220457693783QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_VideoGames_VideoGameConsoles_VideoGameConsoles?hash=item33544d7257&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
If he wants to play online he needs a hard drive, so don't go for the arcade bundle as this doesn't have one.
fairly sure you can get a good deal on one in HMV. the very cheapest new xbox you cn get is the Arcade Xbox which doesnt have a hard drive but i think your friend can just attach his old HD to a new xbox.
Already been fixed it was one of the first models they were gammy as fck now out of warranty and the chances of it happening again are very good even after a fix so not worth it
I'm in the same boat. Have one of the early gammy ones. Not in a terrible rush but want one for the college year. I just need a reliable xbox, as I have a hard drive and 4 wireless controls. Probably ebay , It's annoying buying a used one though because it could be a gammy one.
there is a place around grafton street that fixes them for around 60notes me neighbour got his fixed there a few weeks ago
This might sound nuts, but there's loads of people fixing them by "over-heating" them. My mate tried it and it worked for him as well. Its easy to do and worth a shot. Heard great reports about it for the older models. Video below shows you how its done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hjjinHmEoss It genuinely works Liam.
Honestly yer man I was talking about did his a couple months ago, and its still working last I heard. But yeah, I'd assume its only a temporary measure. Just thought its worth a punt, before buying a new one... haha, bad luck on yer towels Trav!
