how do you open a .dot file

    Anyone any ideas how to do this i got an e mail and i really need to open the attachment but my comp wont let me do it

    can you not open it in word? Change the name of the document to read .doc and try it again there! That'd be my best guess

    new version of word mate, its .docx, it will ask you to download conversion software when you try open it,its a free download and works with all of office ,powerpoint & excel the lot
