I'm going with the missus not able for the damp tents though so i'm staying in a hotel in dublin. I'm just looking forward to getting a few pints great bands looking forward to the killers blur and white lies too.
I know someone who is trying to get rid of a few tickets, apparently what happened was they clicked pay/purchase/confirm whatever the final button is three times and got 3 sets of camping tickets. How this happened is beyond me but her son is taking 1 set of them so she has 2 spare sets. Hard to believe that that could happen but it seemingly did!
I know 3 people looking for tickets...only problem is that all of them want them on the cheap. One of wouldn't take 4 day camping for 180euro 2 weeks back...but anyway if they're selling them any cheaper send me a pm and i'll see if any of the guys will take one....I'm meeting up with one of them now so I'll just tell him there's one at normal price and see if he wants one.
Lads, im going down on the friday night only, gonna be driving and the oxygen website says the carpark closes at midnight...Does this mean i will have to leave early to get out?? Im assuming the gig goes on till at least 1am?? Thanks

The person just got back to me, she has shifted them all bar 1 and that is about to be sold so unless any change I cant help anyone here. Does my head in when they ask u to try shift tickets for them then they do it themselves!
So what was everyones verdict? Kings of Leon were very poor. Incredibly disappointing. Killers were best band I saw (out of the big ones I missed Blur,Bloc Party and Elbow) Pet Shop Boys were surprisingly really fun even though I didn't like em before going to the gig. Here's my self praising story of the weekend, I've been told by the non liverpool fan that I'm a stubborn idiot for this but here goes: Sunday I was waiting in the queue at Red Camp to get to concert arena wearing only a thin t shirt (as it was sunny and warm in the morning and I figured if I was going to be up front in pit I wouldn't need much clothes! It then started raining and I was told it was going to get way worse....I didn't have time to get to my tent as they were opening the gate in 5 minutes so I ran up the side to try find something...in the mean time the Sun offered me a free rain poncho...and instead of taking it I told them I'd rather die of hypothermia than wear something with the sun written on it. I then paid 30 euro for a shitty army jacket and legged in back to my spot just before they opened the gate. I was up front for the Killers after waiting since the morning...experienced the torrential rain during The Specials....and was on the Big screen a few times that friends of mine noticed meaning I'll probably be on MTV....thank f*ck I didn't sell out to the Rag or I'd never live it down. On MTV advertising the c*nts. Anywho I think I deserve a medal. Seriously tho' so worth it waiting all morning as the Killers were unreal. Lady Gaga deserves to be put down, . Ocean Colour Scene were good enough wish I knew more of their songs. Saw Doctors as always got the crowd going and were good. Razorlight were so poor.
Well done Bret...Stick to the principals.. Didnt go this year but was there 3 years in a row and i seen most of the bands that were there this year. Seen the Killers two years ago..Amazing..They were deadly..Really good i say.. Seen Kings of Leon twice at oxegen..Last year i left halfway through and went to see calvin Harris as i think he is class and he was deadly.. Seen Razorlight before and they put on a good show too.. You'll be raging you missed bloc party..They are amazing live..Just amazing..
I've been in 07 and 08 aswell, the Killers were really good both years but better this year, Brandon did alot of crowd sing along parts in the same way Freddie Mercury did em. and also during Bling he did a really good new part where he sang a line and the crowd repeated until it built up into the "higher and higher" part. Calvin Harris was good actually, one of the acts I didn't feel I was just enduring while waiting for the Killers. I like alot of Razorlight songs but they were just bad this time. I was still going crazy for somewhere else.
