Championship Manager 2010â„¢ to launch this September

Beautiful Game Studios are proud to announce the next iteration of the Championship Manager series is set to kick off in September 2009, including a brand new feature never before seen in a football management game. - CM Season Liveâ„¢

    CM Season Liveâ„¢

CM Season Liveâ„¢ is an exciting new feature coming to Championship Manager 2010 - a series of updates that allow players to experience the entire 2009/10 football season as it unfolds. The first Season Liveâ„¢ will be available from October 15th 2009.

Each monthly update features full information for 49 competitions across 10 European countries containing all the scores, league standings, and competition placings for every club and full player info including signings, scorers, average ratings, major injuries and suspensions

To give an example of how these will fundamentally affect your experience of Championship Manager, cast your mind back to the end of last season, when Alan Shearer was appointed Newcastle manager. He had just 8 games to turn their fortunes around and save them from relegation.

Unfortunately for Newcastle, it wasn’t to be. Picking up just 5 points from their remaining games resulted in relegation.

But how would you approach the same situation?

Imagine taking charge at that point, with all results, bookings and injuries reflecting real life, even a players’ games/goals and average rating all accurate and in line with real world football. That is the opportunity that CM Season Live™ offers.

With 6 monthly updates available throughout the season, from October 15th, you can start your game & take on the managerial hotseat from varying start dates as the season progresses, and try to change your club’s fortunes for the better. Of course if you wish, you can still start from the beginning of the campaign, or from any other update point.

CM Season Liveâ„¢ is about offering players a huge choice of gameplay and will radically alter their experience of football management

Any championship manager fan from the old games would and should play football manager. The people that created the old CM games now do footie manager. Alot better than champ manager aswell.

The old CM series was a great series...
The partners at the time split though, and the ensuing games just weren't up to scratch.

However, FM is a fantastic manager series, and is even better than CM.

Anyone who was a fan of the old CM's, will absolutely love FM... gauranteed!!!

    Thats odd.

I'm an FM favourite but, given the price, might give this a go

Best game was champ manager 01/02.

I like FM but its gone to many extremes that I think mean the performance is affected. I got FM 2009 last year and hardly played it as even though I had 2 GB of memory, loading took a long time. 3D match engines, Silly interview sequences and other such nosense does not add much value in my opinion.

    Old School is best school....

Football manager for me too, hopefully match highlights will improve this time around. It would be nice to see whoever now makes Championship manager compete with Football manager to add a bit of choice.Fifa 10 looks class 2 by the way, shame about Rooneys dirty head on the cover though, but pro evo has lost its charm unfortunately.

    Downloaded this today.

Looked allright until I got to the first match; SERIOUSLY slow (like 30 mins to play a match) and the graphics were atrocious. Then ProZone (one feature I was really looking forward to) didn't work at all.

I don't know my system specs. but Football Manager 09 gives me no problems.

The old Champ Manager games were so addictive... wouldn't mind getting the new one for that price but definately wouldn't have the time to play as much as I used to!!!

I'll try that thanks but I've got another question for you.

How do you set up the 2nd stage of a set piece? people mention a 'nxt step' button in the bottom right hand corner but I don't see it?
