    Mobile phone advice ?

I currently have a Sony Ericsson w890i that I have to get rid of because it’s driving me nuts. The phone hardly ever picks up any reception and it constantly freezing and turning off. This is the second Sony in a row that I’m after having trouble with so I’m thinking about changing to nokia.. My birthday is coming up soon so my other half said she’d buy me one for it. As she’s forking out for it I can’t go over board so the Iphone and n97 are out the window. What I was looking at was maybe the nokia 5800 or n95, I just wondering whats people opinion on these two phones? Would the reception on them both be good? I’m on the meteor network. Is there any other phones on the market that I should consider ( within that price bracket -€250?) would it be worth buying from America as I have family going over soon? Any help would be great
    Thanks

I had a n95 and really liked it but the life of the batterey was terrible, it would not last a day for me, a few others on here had them and found the same, apart from that i really liked the phone even though it was a tiny bit bulky !

I though it was/is getting replaced with the n96?

Stay away from lg, a few of my mates have various lg phones and are always complaining about them. Never had one myself but they don't seem to like theirs and have advised me never to get one...

    1). Nokia N95 Review
    2). Nokia 5800 Review

The Nokia E71 is supposed to be very good as well, but that's more of a business phone. Stay away from some other E series Nokia's though, example being the E65 (I and others had huge problems with them).

And for €250 I'd be considering..... guess, go on guess..... an Apple iPhone :)

i bounced the erikson i had off a wall a long time ago simply to the same reason, receptions are rubbish.

Nokia all the way - or for the geek like me, I like my Palm Treo

I use an N95 and I have to admit its not bad at all. The battery isnt bad on mine, I get about 2.5 days from a full charge with general use.

The 8gb RAM is handy too if you are into your downloads. Only fault I would give it is, it is a bit bulkey but if you want a larger screen then you have to have a larger phone, you get used to it though.
