11.09 Fernando Torres believes Michael Owen could still cut it at Anfield should Liverpool express an interest in the Newcastle striker.

14.32 Jamie Carragher is hoping Liverpool's financial troubles will not see a summer exodus at Anfield.:eek::eek:

on the bright side dosenna is moving closer to juve

+1. I'd swear some people have never lived through a summer of transfer speculation before!!!

Never mind the rag tops or the whole of the media for that matter, or indeed the quoted words of some "know-it-all" on some other forum etc etc. Until somebody has signed the dotted line or walked out the door nothing is for certain. We've already had utter nonsense make breaking news on SkySports for example; suffice to say they ignore their commitment to fair and true journalism in favour of sensationalist b*llox.

Get out into the sunshine, have a beer and chillax to the max folks. A bit of positivity, who knows what Rafa's got cooking :D

i think the media are stirring it up as usual. the majority are manc lovin di*khe*ads. so far all iv seen is them linking the mancs to these world class players and all our players leaving.

when rafa said xabi and masch were staying suddenly the media said reina was leaving and johnson was going to chelsea instead.

It's a known fact that there is a concerned effort to get Rafa out of the club by certain sections of the newspaper and television media. Also as you say a lot of the media weather it be sky tv or red top rags have made their fortune on the back of the Premiership. They worship Manchester United and ferguson because they have been the most successful team since the Premiership was concieved. You only have to sit back and hear the guys on sky ramble off phrases like "Utd are the most successful english football team ever"...They have been at this for years now even when we had 18 titles and Utd only had 12 or 13. How many newspapers have been following the finance problems at old trafford even though they owe almost double the amount of money we do and have a higher interest repayment?

The media will continue to make up stories about our players leaving all summer long so we had better man up and get used to it.

As yet, we have lost none of our players, but its worrying that we might be resigned to losing the likes of Xabi and Masch. Im sure we all believed we had a great chance of winning the title next season, so its annoying to hear this kind of speculation that could endanger our title winning ambitions. The fact that the club is in huge debt is worrying also and Rafa has less transfer funds as a result. It seems like we have gone from a position of great hope of winning our first title since 89/90 to doom and gloom, all of a sudden. However, it is just speculation and we should just worry about it if or when it happens. The club is going through a very tough time right now, but we'll get through this and i still have a good feeling about next year.
