Liverpool's Reserve team will play their home fixtures for the 2009-2010 season at Prenton Park, home of Tranmere Rovers.
New Reserve Team Head Coach John McMahon will take the Reds' second-string to the Club where he spent eight years as coach before moving to Shrewsbury Town.

John said: "I'm delighted we've been able to come to this arrangement with Tranmere Rovers.

"I spent eight very happy years working at Tranmere; it is a great club with great facilities and I hope we will see some good results for the Liverpool Reserves."

Liverpool Football Club's connection with the Wirral based Football League club has gone one step further with the recent announcement of the new management team at Tranmere of former Liverpool defender John Barnes and former Liverpool midfielder Jason McAteer.

Tranmere Chief Executive Mick Horton said: "We are delighted to be able to host Liverpool's home reserve fixtures next season and look forward to welcoming them to Prenton Park.

"It will be a good opportunity for any Wirral based Liverpool supporters to come to Prenton Park and watch some of their talented youngsters in action."
