Ceretainly avoid the travel touts mate. We just booked flights and accomodation seperate, flyin lyinair to london, monarc airlines to cyprus. Rang accomadation and ther chargin roughly, 120eur per night for a room that sleeps 4.

Was looking into going but would be Friday to Sunday due to lack of holidays in work

Flights were up on €355. Bit steep for a weekend IMO

went to this a few years back and it was the worst away game Ive ever been too. The stadium is open so no atmosphere plus all the pubs sell tickets and do buses for any holiday maker so expect a shit load of english to be at the game. Ye got into an argument with a crwod of english when we were standing and singing, so we just kept standing for the match to wreak their head and told them to fck off an support their own country.

    Fai??

One of the lads enquired to the fai bout tickets for this game awhile back. He was told to send in a BLANK cheque:confused: Wtf is that all about? Surely they know how much the tickets will be selling for?

A blank cheque, only the FAI could come with a line like that.

Right so Ted, will send you a blank cheque.:D

I very much doubt this. You do have to specify how many tickets you want before you know the price, but they wont charge you until they know. I heard they are going to be cheaper than our previous visits. (€30ish)

Aggree with ye Pddser, but thats wat the lad told us. Obviously the fai didnt know the price at the time of him askin, if they did, surely they wouldve asked how many he required, and then tell him to send a cheque with the amount. ie;8tcks @20eur apop, 160eur

fai dont take cheques does days gone you pay by credit card besides been there twice including the 5-2 nightmare every pub sells tickets and runs a bus for 20 euro all in. as far as im aware the match is on in a different stadium from the last two so dunno if that makes a difference.

I fired off an e-mail to the Fai last week requesting tcks, they post me out 8 application forms. Tcks are priced at 27eur a pop, with a 2eur handling fee per tck.
